Disney’s Upgrade to Blu Program

11 Jun

Now that I have a Blu-Ray player I was confronted with the problem of re-buying all of my old DVD’s so that I could have them in Blu-Ray. Well, I shouldn’t say that. I NEVER plan on upgrading all 200+ of my DVD’s to Blu-Ray. It just doesn’t make sense. Blu-Ray’s are still pretty expensive, so I’ll only get Blu-Ray’s on movies I REALLY want swapped.

This review will NOT be in 3D! So take off those stupid glasses! Also, this is not in any way an April Fools joke. I’m no good at those anyways, so this is just a normal movie review!

In fact, I didn’t see the movie in 3D either. The Regal theater at Pointe Orlando only offered the 3D version in their IMAX theater, and the price and timing wasn’t right, so I had to “deal” with the 2D version.

Monsters vs. Aliens” is a just released DreamWorks Animation 3D animated movie. These are the same people who brought you Shrek, in fact, if you pay CLOSE attention during the movie there is a small shout out to Shrek on the uniform of one of the characters.

Les Chefs de France With a Special Guest!

22 Mar

On Thursday mom and I spent the day at EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival and we had lunch in France! We ate at the amazing Les Chefs de France. I’m going to start out by saying that the food was amazing. Disney really does food right in these type restaurants. If you stick to the quick service kiosks and tray service you may think Disney food sucks, but if you take the time (and a couple extra dollars) to sit down and eat you’ll be blown away. Quick warning though, these places are pretty much reservation only (especially the popular ones). You can normally get reservations for the day towards the front of the park at Guest Services (under Spaceship Earth to the left at EPCOT and in City Hall at Magic Kingdom).

I had read about it in advance, so we HAD to check out Les Chefs de France’s new Special Guest, REMY!

Life sized and REALLY cute!

WALL•E Review

1 Jul

I’m proud to say that I am 27 years old and I was the kid of my group when we went to see WALL•E this weekend. For those of you who read my scathing remarks about kids at movies (Anybody Got a Babysitter????) I will start out by pointing out that I went to this G-Rated kids movie at 2:15pm on a Saturday. As I expected the theater was full of kids. However, this being a G-Rated movie made FOR KIDS, there was VERY few out bursts. The parents very quickly took care of their children and life went on. This points even more to the fact that kids under 3 shouldn’t be allowed in a PG-13 movie, even if it is a comic book movie! Now, to the review!
