Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

16 Apr

This isn’t exactly breaking news as I’ve been reading about it on other blogs for a while during testing, but Magic Kingdom has added a new interactive game. It is similar to the game found at EPCOT’s Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure (soon to be re-themed as Agent P from Phineas and Ferb. It is called Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and it has some key differences to the Kim Possible version. I’m not going to try to explain the game in depth or give away any spoilers, I’m just going to give some basics and my immediate reaction having played it a bit.

First thing you do if you want to play is go to one of the Sorcerers Recruitment Center. The main one is in the Firehouse on Main Street. Another is in Fantasyland (but I haven’t been there yet). You will see a short video giving you an overview of the story, receive your first set of cards and then get a quick instruction on how to play.

The Starter Kit.

Disney’s Upgrade to Blu Program

11 Jun

Now that I have a Blu-Ray player I was confronted with the problem of re-buying all of my old DVD’s so that I could have them in Blu-Ray. Well, I shouldn’t say that. I NEVER plan on upgrading all 200+ of my DVD’s to Blu-Ray. It just doesn’t make sense. Blu-Ray’s are still pretty expensive, so I’ll only get Blu-Ray’s on movies I REALLY want swapped.

Birthday 2010!

10 Jun

It was awesome! Benihana was very yummy (though maybe not as good as Kobe) and Pat O’Briens at City Walk was a good time! But most of all the people were awesome. Thanks to everyone who came out or texted me or hit me up on Facebook.

Here is the official Benihana photo:

Disney Pin Boards

11 May

Remember all those Disney Pins I showed you here? As you can see I have A LOT of pins. Definitely way too many to wear on a lanyard and walk around Disney for a day. Luckily for me I have not only a very beautiful girlfriend, but also a very smart and creative girlfriend.

As a gift for me she made me this:

It is just a piece of foam board with a ribbon stitched in around the edge. Obviously it is the shape of a hidden Mickey! JC made this for me to have a place to keep and display my favorite Disney Pins!

Mother’s Day 2010!

10 May

Mother’s Day 2010 was a resounding success!

My family and JC’s family spent the day at The Magic Kingdom! It was a BEAUTIFUL but hot day out. I was expecting more of a crowd, but the lines were manageable all day!

We managed to knock out all of the major attractions and have an AMAZING lunch at Tony’s pretty easily.

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival 2010

7 Apr

So it must be spring time again and that means I make my annual visit to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! You can check out my previous visits from 2008 and 2009. While we are digging up old posts, remember my Nick Lachey encounter at EPCOT? How about my reaction when I found out they removed Dreamfinder from my favorite EPCOT ride?

As always I took LOTS of pictures! 113 to be exact! Be sure to check out the end of the post for a link to the whole slide show on Photobucket! New this year to my photos will be people! Keep an eye out for my wonderful mom and my beautiful girlfriend making me look good!

This year had a “camping out” theme. Check out Daisy out front:

Disney Pin Trading

27 Feb

I teased it in my post yesterday about how I became addicted to Disney Pin Trading. Now I’m going to out my full addiction with pictures (NOTE: I don’t have a professional camera nor a studio, so not all of these pictures are great)!

My Collection

For those of you who don’t know, Disney sells collectible pins. Not very exciting I know, especially since they cost from $7.99 to $12.99 a piece. Here is wear it gets addicting. Disney Cast Members (what they call employees) in most departments are encouraged (and in some departments required) to wear pin lanyards while working and you can walk up to a cast member and trade with them. You can give them any pin you have and take any one they have. The cast members are not allowed to say no to any trade (as long as it is one pin for one pin).

Merry Day After Christmas!

26 Dec

Miss yesterday’s Disney Parks Christmas Parade? Watch a “Tilt Shift” version of it. It’ll only take two minutes of your life and you won’t actually have to hear Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers!!
