Slow Cooker Cranberry Dijon Pork

31 Dec

Yup, it is another cooking post!

This one has a bit of a story. On December 23rd my mom texted me about how “we” (meaning my dad and I) needed to figure out dinner for Christmas Eve. Due to a miss communication, dad AND I both ended up buying some stuff for dinner. So I had ingredients for a pork roast in my fridge and no real reason to cook them. So I went ahead and made the recipe for a normal Tuesday dinner for one.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Review

On Christmas Day mom, dad and I decided to go to see a movie. There were three movies that we were contemplating going to; Doubt, The Spirit and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Since the three of us are bad at making decisions, we decided to flip a coin. Mom was flipping and she wanted to see Doubt, so we first flipped between Spirit and TCCoBB eliminating The Spirit, which may have been a blessing in disguise since the reviews have gone downhill. RottenTomoatoes.com has it at only 16% (ouch). Obviously in the final flip Doubt was eliminated. NOTE: The Wikipedia links give away the WHOLE movie. BIG spoilers! I will not spoil anything past the break in this post.

AFC East Champions!

29 Dec

YES! My beloved Miami Dolphins have matched the biggest turn around in NFL history going from 1-15 to 11-5. With their win over the Jets they are now the AFC East Champion and will host a playoff game in Miami next Sunday.

Rob and I were in on the pre-sale (last week) of tickets to the game, so we will definitely be there!

Thanks to the NFL’s idiotic TV rules, Rob and I were forced to go to Hooters in Pointe Orlando to watch the game, but we enjoyed it.

I also want to congratulate the Detroit Lions on NFL history!

Then Christmas morning we get our “Santa Gifts.” Yes, the youngest in the household is 17 and we have “Santa Gifts.” Whatever your traditions are I hope you are with your family on this holiday!
