Coca-Cola Pork Chops

6 Nov

Except I didn’t use Coca-Cola. I used Publix brand Cola!

This is a very VERY simple recipe that tastes yummy. The recipe only has a few ingredients. Cola, ketchup, brown sugar and pork chops. That is it!

You of course dont need that much ketchup or coke!

I normally use boneless pork chops, but this is what I had in the freezer and it worked well. First take 1/2 cup of ketchup and 1/2 cup of cola in a bowl:

Looks yummy dont it?

Looks yummy don't it?

Stir to combine:

Place your pork chops in a nice glass baking dish (you could use just about any sort of baking dish).

If you use boneless you can fit 4 nicely in an 8x8

Cover with the sauce you made:

A red bath!

In order to maximize the flavor of the dish I now set the oven to 350 degrees. That way the pork chops get to bathe for a few extra minutes. You can pre-heat the oven if you want!

Sprinkle on a handful of the brown sugar right before it goes in the oven:

Ready to bake!

Bake for 40-45 minutes depending on the thickness of your chops!

You can serve this with mashed potatoes or maybe a noodle side. I used a Lipton Rice side, garlic butter flavored!

That is it. Try it out if you like and let me know!
